To Learn MS-Outlook briefly you have to understand some basic protocols that are to be used in this application. These protocols and there description are as follows:
1- POP3: Stands for Post Office Protocol. This protocol is responsible for receiving mails from the main or web server to our computer or client. It allows us to check our mails even when we are offline.
2- IMAP: Stands for Internet Mail Access Protocol. It also responsible for receiving mails from web server to our client computer. POP3 and IMAP both are supported by Outlook. The difference between POP3 and IMAP is that if there are many users are using the same mailbox then IMAP is used.
3- SMTP: Stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. This Protocol is responsible for sending mails over the Internet.
